Heavy on theory

This is one of those books where I was at first disappointed, but later came to appreciate its value. I was turned off by so much focus on theory and physics, as I was looking for a quick solution to my antenna problems. Later, when I bought other books on practical antennas, I realized you really DO need to know most of the theoretical considerations in putting up an antenna - - things like line sag, impedance matching, effective length and a host of other obscure but important matters. The book is an essential reference guide, especially if you are building your own or modifying antennas.
